The NCDEA Professional Development committee is inviting you to join us at the NACD Annual meeting in New Orleans, LA on Saturday February 11th from 1:00pm – 5:00pm CST for an informative afternoon of learning and networking.

Traditionally, NCDEA has hosted an employee professional development session at the National Association of Conservation Districts annual conference on Wednesday morning. New for 2023, we are moving our session to Saturday afternoon. This new format will offer attendees a chance to interact with the NCDEA board and partners.

Conservation District employees, supervisors, and partners are invited to a panel showcasing leadership development training from around the country. Attendees will be introduced to the benefit of these programs to districts, our partners, and the people and resources we serve.  Panelists will discuss the unique aspects of their programs, how they got started, and what the future holds.

At the close of the panel presentations, the National Conservation District Employees Association Board will be hosting a peer-to-peer question and answer session.  The networking opportunities will continue following the afternoon session as attendees are welcome to join us for a social from 5:00pm – 7:00pm.  This new format will allow for district employees to also attend the NACD Regional meetings being held on Sunday February 12th . These Regional meetings are valuable learning and networking opportunities as there will be partner reports, region activity updates, and discussion on opportunities and challenges to the conservation delivery system in each region.  Learning continues throughout the week with keynote speakers and break-out sessions focused on everything from Watersheds to District Operations.

Please plan to join us in New Orleans February 11-15, 2023 – We hope to see you there!
